Objective: The main aim of this course is to equip students with an understanding of the digital signal processing techniques that are used in the RADAR Imaging system. This course starts with the essential digital communication and signal processing techniques, followed by the RADAR signals and detection techniques. Further, several imaging algorithms are discussed for obtaining higher-resolution images of the target objects. In addition, the Photonics RADAR system will be introduced and discussed on its advantages over its electronics counterpart.

This course marking system is based on four categories: assignments and quizzes, midterm and final exams, attendance, and the project report. As a part of the course, students should present a research paper on radar technology in a group or with an individual. Upon completing the course, students should be able to analyze the photonics RADAR and imaging techniques. I believe this course not only helps students get the knowledge of the particular subject but also develops the habits of analyzing and solving problems.
